Does the Media lean toward the left?

Over the past few months, I have heard and read numerous references to Sen. John McCain's comment on the U.S being in Iraq for 100 years. Am I the only person who saw what he truly said? It was on television.
What the senator said was that we could still have a presence such as a base there in 100 years much like Germany and a variety of other countries. He at no time was saying that we would still be at war. Recently, Howard Dean, chair of the Democratic Party, stated that Sen. McCain's comment was not taken out of context. Why has the media perpetuated this myth?

Media Fairplay

Educators and journalists by their nature are liberal. They simply cant present information in a fair even handed manner. They have the perspective as one who comes to the table with a morally superior posistion of knowing (wheter or not it is true) that they have all the data to support their position. If someone contradicts their worldview that person is either un-educated or lieing. That knowledge cannot help but translate into the reports they broadcast and the stories they write. What you see is simply the human nature of those that figure they have to educate or inform the rest of us because we don't know....

MEDIA LEANS TO THE LEFT

JUST LISTEN TO TALK RADIO FOR PROOF THAT THIS IS TRUE. THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY ONE NEVER READS ABOUT OR HEARS ABOUT ON NATIONAL PRESS OR TV.
